…getting from there to here, I’m pretty unsure of whats going on these days and im just rolling with whatever comes, however i dont like how uncertain these times are, or knowing someone very important to you just doesnt believe how serious you feel. Was supposed to go softing today, and we did go, but when we got to the site we found it was empty…the game was yesterday, well there was one guy there for some reason he had the dates and still turned up to the wrong one…berk.
So we went to Reading, and fuck me there is nothing there anymore seriously, its boring, its lost all its character, we were going to go to Oxford however i was falling asleep in the car, so i suggested we cut our losses…I dont have work for a long time now, so its time to catch up with University work. Ordered a Marconi PRR radio and that set me back 15 quid, another part added to the kit list, also hope my mate hasnt sent his Oakley gloves back…so high speed. Well a few friends have wondered when i was going to update this year, tbh i have had a lot to do, i have a job as you guys know, its up and down with hours etc, atm its almost full time so that leaves fuck all time to do anything, i have been wanting to write about lots of things…the stock market slumps, shit weather and flooding, music and who knows what else, but most of what was in my head has gone. So how is 2008 shaping up personally, i dont know to be sure, its moving slower and thats a good thing, im starting to enjoy the moments, and the travel, even tho its the same route, Cowley, Oxford, its still a city, and the amount of characters you see about the place, makes you stop and notice…I have started taking more photos of the city, the sky, trees, and the street lights when they come on at 3.30, so pissing weird that, daylight saving and all. I think im growing up in my outlook, slightly, i recognise things have to change, and i have to start adapting to the 9-5, being better with my spending habits…dont let it burn a hole in my pocket etc. Looking forward to my mates birthday bash soon….first weekend in feb, also looking forward to blowing shit up tomorrow…
Well im still slightly hung over and can feel the shots of jaeger in my stomach, so merry crimbo, last night was the weirdest mothering fucking crimbo eve ever, just running into everyone from the past. Like, i mean everyone, the people you wanted to forget, the people that you kinda missed…Well there was booze flowing, i spoke to someone i had a crush on back in the day and they had forgotten that i’d gone to the same school as them…lol go figures however she did say she remembered me as the brainey one whatever that means, i was fucking dense as mud bricks, hope the advice i dished out wasnt too harsh, oh and Shaun Kitson, if you ever read this you are an utter twat…thank you and good night

I’ve been biting at the bit to write this, and get it out of the way, since i havent updated this shit recently. Well this year, well it was shit really, lets get some of the good stuff out if the way, i quit waitrose, graduated and i got to lvl 55 on COD 4. Now the bad, i was in a shit relationship for all of two weeks thank fook, i dont have a massive source of income and im flat broke, still at home, no real relationship on the go and i have to write a shitty essay over christmas. I’m giving off the wrong impression here tho arent i, its not as bad as it seems, there is still room for change, and i have a fantastic grey monkey hat thingy sitting on my head, that and i saw the foo fighters last month, see another high light i had forgotten about, you see its not bad, its just not epic anymore. My friends are all doing well which is a good thing at least, but even them, one lost a job but found the love of his life, what an example. I still have some days left in 2007, we shall see how it goes.
That’s right ladies and gents, the voice that no one really listens to is back! Well not really, i have some free time it seems to rant out another truck load of bollocks, well when i say truck load i mean Ford Transit van full, actually probably more like a cups worth, either way i have a job…gasp…and omg…wait no i cant say anything, nothing nice, nothing horrible…hahaha you thought you’d be able to trick me again into voicing my opinions on the work place…nope, i have nothing for you, the truth of the matter is its not bad, i vaguely know what i’m doing and its low responcibility and good money, and the people are fairly friendly. Just the title of a Dave Matthews band song im listening to, tomorrow is Urban assault, i hope it goes well but like all things you look forward to, it will without a doubt turn out shite. Still no job, so i’ve been playing Call of Duty 4 online, and my god its like crack its that more’ish, im ranked a 36-37 Lt. Col which is pretty good for 3 days of play i find, however its easy to do because the game shits points for the most trivial things, like falling to your death…wtf. I was messing about with youtube last night and i found the marketing for Halo 3, now i dont like the game because as much as the hype sells it, its just a lot of grey buildings and sterile combat, Bungie games managed to pull a coup with Halo because its design engine is exactly the same Oni, well at least there was a shit load of grey in Halo 1 and , apparently 3 has a forest but i dont care, what i did care about was the way they presented the game….in ads at least, i love fictional history, were people try and build a world with alternate history and tiny, tiny details…so i loved this adverts
Now you may think its just horrible bs, and it does paint Master Chief as a fucking saint, however these just remind me of Vet interviews from World War II, they are quite touching in a way, and interesting to watch. I also found their landfall video which i must have been under a rock not to see, its pretty good, and the acting isnt too hammy;

Remind you of Jake and Dinos Chapman’s ‘Hell’, it does me lol, btw its funny if you put classical music to any battle scene, millions of people will think its cool, and will then demand a source for it, they get it, then it becomes popular because they add their own mental images to it while its being played, probably of Halo 3, but it begins the cycle again, then everyone will forget it till the next epic advert.
However Halo and Microsoft and Bungie make the fatal error yet again in games design, they made it all about one man, and then gave Master Chief, who you play, a name, big mistake, in remaining nameless we could have felt some connection with the character we played, however he became butch, stupid and a token one liner…this could have been an epic tale of humanities struggle, however it turned into a Cheap ‘Aliens’ Knock off, that’s why i dont like it…shit here come the 360 fanboys!!!!
Which is a shame, and probably why i don’t care about updating it as much, nothing is really hard to write about, sure stuff is happening, bought COD 4 played it to death, got a 2.1 on an essay, bought some new pouches to finally finish a load out, even tho i cant afford it. Had a really good day airsofting on the Saturday gone, still have not found a job and don’t really like the temp agency i signed up with. Christmas is approaching and im already fed up of the adverts, especially the Supermarket ones, got in contact with someone again but its probably just going to be a friends type situation ¬_¬ Loving studio 60 as usual, its really well written stuff that makes me chuckle, that and Gordon Ramsey, people may think hes a tool, but i still think hes rather passionate about people that ask for help, and he appears to make good food that makes you feel hungry, which isnt a good thing at 9-10 at night. Trying to work out a days worth of gaming with a friend, before we see American Gangster were going to iron out the details.
